Please introduce yourself and how Pigeon Wishes came into being?
→ Hello! My name is Megan and I am the co-founder of Pigeonwishes. I am a fabric lover, knitter and an active sewist. I grew up in London. Pigeonwishes started life in 2015 as a sewing blog. It has now transformed into a sewing supply business for makers and entrepreneurs.
Finding the right fabric is a passion. I started sewing in my early twenties and it slowly became my life. From casual evening classes in the basics of sewing to continuing learning about pattern cutting and tailoring. I found that my day begins and ends with sewing on my mind. I started selling fabric on Etsy in 2017, however I found the task of sourcing fabric is where our hearts lay and we wanted to spend our time and resources focusing on that side of the business.
Our intentions are to help businesses find their dream fabrics and accessories - we hatched the idea of becoming a fabric wholesaler!

Tell us more. How does your company do this?
→ Pigeonwishes supplies eco-friendly fabrics and buttons made from sustainable plant-based sources, using cellulose closed-loop production. We support small fashion and fabric businesses by providing a printing service, unique eco-friendly fabrics and haberdashery items without minimum order requirements, making it easier to start a sustainable textile business.
We offer high-quality, sustainable fabrics for like-minded creators, driven by a commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing. Pigeonwishes stands out with its exclusive focus on eco-friendly, and curated deadstock fabrics that you can’t find anywhere else.
Thanks for collaborating with Indilisi to sell certified Organic and Fair Trade Fabrics! Which Indilisi Fabrics can you supply to makers, creators and designers?

What’s been your proudest achievement since launching your company?
→ Transitioning from a retail Etsy store to wholesale fabric supply was challenging, as it required a shift in operations, scale, and sourcing strategies. We overcame this by committing to sustainable practices and building a niche for eco-friendly fabric and buttons, designer deadstock fabric and fabric printing service.
Establishing a reputable fabric and haberdashery wholesale brand that champions sustainability and supports smaller makers and businesses is one of their proudest achievements. We have 7000+ five star reviews on Etsy platform and inspire our customers to create their own cloth with eco-friendly and chic fabric and buttons.
What advice would you give to others starting a similar business?
→ For those starting in fabrics or haberdashery, focus on finding the gap in the demand and be the first to offering them to the market. Learn more about marketing strategies and build a reputable business from the beginning. Key challenges include navigating supply chain complexities, finding reliable suppliers that align with your sustainability goals and maintain a good financial position.

What are your key goals for the next 12 months?
→ We are happy to collaborate with Indilisi. We will continue expanding our selection of eco-friendly haberdashery products and increase our support for small businesses by offering new products and maintaining our commitment to modern crafting.
